Great app run by great people!

Ive always said our community needed a service like this, and its finally come true. Im proud to say Ive met the genius women behind it, and have enjoyed the events they create. The app itself can be a bit glitchy sometimes, especially with notifications, but theyll get it worked out. Its well worth it in the end. Love HER!

Its a young crowd as of Jan. 2017

If more women would give this a shot it would be perfect. Its very easy to use: scan photos, "like" the women you want, if they "like" you back you start chatting. Not many 30-45 year old women use it though but I think its because they dont know its out there! The more people know about this app the better it will be!

It ok

There isnt much out there for lesbians so it ok..

Switched devices- wont let me login

Ive tried over and over to login to my account and it wont let me. Also I dont like how it automatically gives someone a notification that I liked them, even if they hadnt liked me. I ended up never using the app and was too scared to use it because I didnt want people to see I liked them unless they liked me as well. Waste of time, honestly. :/

Disappointed.

Im sad that you have pay now to have full use of the app. I had deleted for a while and when I decided to download it again everything was different. You only get a certain number of swipes and then have to wait a certain time to be able to go through profiles again, when you post in the local section for some reason it pops up on the global section and you start getting comments from people thousands of miles away, if I wanted that I would post in global and completely ignore my preferred settings. You cant even change your location unless you pay, which I believe is completely outrageous.

Not Sure What Happened

I actually enjoyed this app and was making friends on it. Even almost asked for a meet up in person but my account suddenly got deactivated. Claimed I had broken some of their terms/rules. I was polite to the people I talked to, honest, and didnt have anything rude or offensive posted. So Im guessing they banned me simply because I had no picture of my face uploaded. Seems they will ban you for being safe and Ive also seen complaints about them banning trans people as well. So, user beware. App seemed ok otherwise. P.S. I have not been able to use the app since they added the premium stuff but based on some of the prices Ive read in the reviews and what I know about this app and its features I would say its definitely not worth paying for. Also, again, beware. Especially if you pay. They will shut you down for simply protecting yourself from possible stalking.

Fantastic!

All dating apps have their flaws but this is my favorite. The worst parts of dating apps are 1) men, and 2) the nonexistent options for queer and nonbinary people. HER has so men. And is explicitly inclusive of transgender and nonbinary people. The language that the HER team uses is incredibly inclusive language. This is the only app that makes me feel like Im wanted. Ive met a lot of great people via this app!

10/10

This app is incredible! Finally, a dating app for women seeking women. Wish I didnt have to pay for extra features, but everyones gotta make money somehow.

Not bad

Not bad. Good app. Only complaint is I wish there was more than just pictures like ok Cupid. Answering questions to see if people have things in common would be nice

not paying for something

That I can do for free on OKCupid and Tinder. I mean paying to set age limits? Absolutely absurd.

Lots has changed

when the app came out in 2015, it was great. everything was (FREE). hell, i even met someone and dated for 6 months because of this app. Now lots has changed and its just frustrating. dont think ill be using the app anymore

Needs work

This app is a bit of a mess. A nice idea really but I dont think it manages to pull it off very well, the number of people Ive chatted with that would rather give me their number so we dont have to use the app is telling. There are a few reasons for this, mainly being that the app isnt very user friendly in that the user has very little input on their experience within the app; dont want daily notifications about whatever inane topic the mods have posted on the public board? Too bad, youll have to turn off notifications entirely, which some of us might as well do since a lot of the time the app forgets to notify us of incoming messages (this is only cushioned by when, 3 days later you awkwardly slink back into a chat after not being told the person replied, they are quite understanding since they have personal experience with this phenomenon). Have trouble reading the neon green text bubble background for messages youve sent? No theme or colour options. Have trouble reading long messages because the default text size is set to huge? The app doesnt conform to native text size settings. And all the ads and emails and seemingly default functions you can click on that give you a pop up to upgrade to premium? We get it, you have to make money somehow, but youve crossed the line into being obtrusive and seeing the ads in the many places youve put them make me not want to spend time on the app at all. The ads however arent the main reason for my low rating, its the fact that many of the issues I have with the app are chat related, are functions you would expect from any well functioning messaging apps, and since the app is fundamentally a chat app, this is troubling.

So far so good

I like the app so far, the only thing I DO NOT like is that you MUST turn on notifications to use certain parts of the app. That is incredibly annoying. Change that, and Ill come back to put 5 stars.

Dont even download

Its all the same people youre browsing through and you cant chat or see who liked you unless you buy a $15 a month subscription. A waste of 10 minutes of my life.

Unless you pay

Unless you pay, you can only like or dislike. You cant talk or see who liked you, or you cant even change settings of girls you see.

Pretty good

Its a great app. Met a lot of cool people on here. Just wished there was more free options. Like being able to see the people who liked you or more filters to what youre looking for.

Recommended

Hands down best product of its kind.

Rip off

I used to love this app but now you have to pay to see who liked your profile and it makes it really hard to meet people when you have to fork out $10 just to talk to someone!!!

Used to be amazing, until changes.

I used to adore this app. Literally. I made wonderful friends on here & I am forever grateful. But then the whole payment thing happened. I used to do everything that we now have to pay for, for free. Its very sad. Why do I have to pay to just visit someones profile or to message someone who is online or just to swipe back after a misswipe? This was the only app that I found useful for meeting people who are like minded, but now its like Im back at square one because if I paid for full usage of what I used to get for free, I wont be able to afford anything else because of my current job. Sigh

Decent App

The app can be kind of buggy, and not a lot of features are available on the free version. Its decent for meeting people and chatting. A bit confusing to use.
